CEOs and top chefs unite to feed vulnerable Australians at the CEO CookOff
CEO CookOff event on March 7 in Sydney and Brisbane will feed 1,300 homeless and disadvantaged people meals from top restaurants cooked by senior business executives.
Celebrating its fifth-year milestone, the OzHarvest CEO CookOff will be back bigger and better than ever, taking place at new location, The Cutaway at Barangaroo Reserve on Monday, 7 March.
Brisbane’s business elite are also invited, to participate in the inaugural Brisbane CEO CookOff event to be held at the Royal International Convention Centre on the same evening.
Fifty of Australia’s top chefs with a combined 42 Chef’s Hats, will team up with 150 business leaders to cook for more than 1,300 homeless and vulnerable Australians.
The OzHarvest CEO Cookoff is the food-rescue organisation’s flagship annual event, aimed at increasing awareness on food insecurity, homelessness and food wastage in Australia. To date, the business community has raised more than $4 million dollars for this unique charity event.
CEOs and senior business executives from across the country are encouraged to register alongside an exceptional line up of chefs including Matt Moran, Neil Perry, Peter Gilmore, Luke Mangan and Guillaume Brahimi featured at Sydney’s event.
Brisbane’s first-ever event presents a number of stellar chefs including QAGOMA’s Josue Lopez, TV personality Ben O’Donoghue and Dominique Rizzo.
150 high-profile business leaders including Aussie’s James Symond, Woolworths’ Marketing Director Andrew Hicks, Barangaroo Delivery Authority CEO Craig van der Laan, TFE Hotels CEO Rachel Argaman, Clorox GM Simon Durrant and HOSTPLUS CEO David Elia will be split into teams and guided by star chefs, to cook and prepare a three-course meal – feeding 1,300 homeless and disadvantaged across the two cities.
Top companies participating in friendly culinary competition include: Goodman+ Property, Virgin Mobile, Macquarie Bank, PwC, Caltex, George Weston Foods and more.
Guests will also be treated to a powerfully moving performance by the incredible Bangarra Dance Theatre.
CEO and Founder of OzHarvest, Ronni Kahn, encouraged the entire business community to get behind the fundraising efforts and to inspire leadership in corporate social responsibility.

Businesses can also take part in the Company Challenges involving cooking challenges and fundraising activities within the workplace.
Anyone can support the cause by donating to their favourite CEO or chef. Every $1 donated means that OzHarvest can deliver the equivalent of two meals and has a Social Return on Investment value of $5.68.
