Marriott to open Element in Australia

Melbourne is the site for Marriott’s Element brand hotel.

It will mark Element’s debut in Melbourne.

Australia’s first Element hotel will open in Richmond, forming part of Botanicca Corporate Park, just 3 kilometres away from Melbourne’s CBD.  The site has attracted Southeast Asian investors.

It is being developed by Macquarie Bank and R. Corporation.

It will also be in walking distance of the many restaurants, cafes, bars, shops and events which have been springing up around Richmond over the last few years.

The deal, signed with Malaysian entrepreneur Dato’ Leong of TRC Australia, will create a campus-style office park.

It will feature modern commercial space.

That’s in addition to a variety of retail and lifestyle amenities, including restaurants, cafes and a fitness centre. There will even be a bike hiring scheme allowing guests to explore the nearby sights of this interesting suburb. There will also be an outdoor yoga deck to help guests stay fit and healthy whilst on the road.

The hotel itself will have 168 light-filled guestrooms.

Guests looking to stay longer will be able to choose from a select number of rooms that feature energy-efficient kitchenettes.

Guests staying at the Element Melbourne Richmond can start their day with a healthy RISE breakfast.

And in the evening, they can unwind attending the RELAX evening receptions.

If they want a special meal served up in their room, they’ll be able to purchase everything they need at a 24/7 grab-and-go gourmet food pantry.

Element Melbourne Richmond will offer business travellers 250 square metres of flexible conference and meeting space.

These rooms can be customised to meet any business or social need. There will also be fast and complimentary WiFi available throughout the hotel.

Element Melbourne Richmond will be added to Marriott International’s portfolio in the Pacific.

The chain’s hotels include the Four Points by Sheraton, Melbourne Docklands, The Westin Melbourne, Sheraton Melbourne Hotel and Melbourne Marriott Hotel.
