Brisbane CBD to get W Hotels
The big news is that Brisbane is going to get its first five star hotel in 20 years.
That’s courtesy of W Hotels, part of Marriott International.
W Hotels is bringing the luxury brand to the Queensland capital and it will start taking bookings next month.
It will be located at 300 George Street, right in the CBD’s heartland.
The new luxury hotel will have 312 rooms and 29 suites, offering terrific river views across to South Bank and Mount Coot-tha. The rooms will have all the trimmings that come with upscale hotel accommodation, including designer interiors, spectacular views, 55" TV with Netflix and speakers, mini-bar and free Wi-F
The location means it will be close to all of Brisbane’s main attractions.
The hotel is also offering the Extreme Wow Suite - W's version of the Presidential Suite. It’s a suite designed for those in the money who can afford the best of luxury accommodation on a trip.
There are also three bars and restaurants, not to mention the spa and gym for those wanting to keep in shape.
The signature restaurant will be a special attraction.
It will feature the best locally sourced produce.
And it will offer interactive live cooking, with an alfresco vibe.
The plan is to create a space that invites the Queensland outdoors in.
And there is The Living Room,
That’s the name for what is W’s take on the traditional hotel lobby.
It’s a space that fits in with the customer’s mood, everything from a serene spot to relax or meet during the day to a lively hub in the evening.
There will also be a dedicated DJ booth.
And the W hotel in Brisbane will have lots of room for meetings and events.
The hotel offers approximately 1,100 square metres of flexible spaces, all of them fully equipped with the latest AV facilities.
