Merivale opens The Royal with Bottoms Up, Bondi campaign

Merivale has opened Bondi local The Royal with a mega happy hour throughout October that sees all drinks slashed 49 per cent every day between 5pm and 7pm.

The Bottoms Up, Bondi campaign follows the successful Bottoms Up, Sydney that saw Merivale offer 49 per cent off all drinks across its extensive portfolio of bars and pubs, every day in June. 

“Bottoms Up was our way of saying thank you to Sydney, encouraging people to get out and experience everything this amazing city has to offer,” said Justin Hemmes, CEO of Merivale.

“The Royal just missed out on being open in time for the campaign, so we wanted to do something special for Bondi. The pub means a lot to the area and we’re really excited to join the neighbourhood”.

The drinks list of the new venue has been described as “high quality drinks in a low-fi environment” by Group Bars Manager Sam Egerton, with daiquiris, margaritas, boilermakers, bottled negronis, espresso martini on tap and even a vending machine packed full of ice-cold beer on the menu.

The Royal’s restaurant and courtyard will be reopened for a pop-up food concept over summer.
