NSW Wine List Awards announced

The finalists of the 2018 New South Wales (NSW) Wine List Awards have been announced, in a partnership between Restaurant & Catering Australia (R&CA) and the NSW Wine Industry Association.

The Wine List Awards seeks to showcase restaurant businesses supporting the local wine industry through wine list development and actively promoting wines that complement their menus. This year saw Mark Baulderstone, managing director of RIEDEL, as a special guest judge for the event.

R&CA CEO Juliana Payne congratulated all the respective finalists.

“We have been delighted with the quality of this year’s entries to the NSW Wine List Awards and look forward to recognising the winners and their contribution to the industry,” she said.

“The importance of including quality Australian-produced wines on restaurant menus was underscored by our 2018 Industry Benchmarking Report which found that almost 80 per cent of hospitality businesses rated this as important or very important.”
