New lease of life for Harbour View Hotel
The historic Harbour View Hotel in The Rocks has been added to Simon Paterson’s Phoenix Hotel Group for a rumoured figure above $14 million.
Phoenix Hotel Group takes possession on October 29, with the three storey hotel closing for a week for a facelift and menu upgrade. The ground floor features a small gaming room and TAB, and pavement seating out front. A cigar and whisky sports bar and a bar focused on vodka, gin and tequila are located on the middle floor.
Paterson has plans to turn the top level and rooftop into a new high-end restaurant. A new team has been assembled to lead the pub including Tatiana Coluzzi (kitchen) and Paul Femechon (bar).
Formerly owned by Brian and Angelia Perry, the hotel is one of just four freeholds in the precinct, with the majority owned by the Sydney Foreshore Authority.
