Pastry chef Pierrick Boyer’s café goes into voluntary administration

Construction work has been blamed for the recent closure of pastry chef Pierrick Boyer’s recently opened Melbourne café.

Boyer was named pastry chef of the year by Gault & Millau Australia last year, with Pierrick Boyer Cafe Patisserie in Prahran going into voluntary administration last Friday after only four months in business.

Boyer blames the Cato Square works being undertaken by the city of Stonnington for a downturn in business, citing lack of parking and visibility issues.

Administrators Worrels Solvency & Forensic Accountants have been appointed to take control of the business. Boyer says he would like to continue working under his brand if he can find other investors.
