Mantle Group has big plans for NSW expansion

The Mantle Group is looking to expand interstate after opening its third Sydney restaurant with plans for at least four more by 2020.

The Brisbane hospitality giant owns brands the Pig ‘n’ Whistle, Jimmy’s and The Charming Squire, and has five restaurant and pub tenancies under construction. Mantle also opened the 800 seat Squire’s Landing in Sydney’s Circular Quay in May, which features a freestanding microbrewery.

Mantle recently committed to the 2000sqm rooftop tenancy at Westfield Pitt Street in Sydney, which has been vacant for more than six years. Mantle Group chief executive Arj Rupesinghe said the group was actively seeking out more venues in New South Wales.

Other Mantle Group venues under construction include a Cantonese-style venue in South Bank, a James Squire-branded venue on Broadbeach and an 800-plus capacity venue to complement the Music Hall in Fortitude Valley.
