Hallmark opens second Finn McCool’s Irish Bar on the Gold Coast

Hospitality group Hallmark have expanded their Finn McCool’s Irish Bar beyond Brisbane with a second venue opening in Surfers Paradise next month.

This is the ninth venue for Hallmark, which also includes Retro’s Cocktail Bar Brisbane and Gold Coast, Shooters nightclub Gold Coast and recently acquired Jamie’s Italian restaurants in Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth.

“It is a very exciting time for the group as it continues to expand its portfolio of household names, local institutions and well-established brands across Australia,” said Cade Hopman, Hallmark Group Bars general manager. “Once the major $2 million refurbishment is complete, the venue will be one of the largest Irish pubs on the Gold Coast.”

Finn McCool’s Irish Bar recently won the QHA Excellence Award for “Best redeveloped licensed premises above $2 Million”. Much like the Brisbane venue, the main space will boast a huge bar, booth seating, and large tables fit for functions.

The menu will feature Irish classics such as Beef and Guinness pie, Irish Stew, Chicken Curry and traditional Irish breakfast of bacon, eggs, mushroom, pork sausage, black pudding, beans and Barry’s tea.

The main bar will feature Guinness and Kilkenny on tap, alongside a range of premium beers, ciders, wines, spirits, and cocktails.

“There isn’t a city in the world without a good Irish pub you can rely on for a good feed, a good pint and most importantly good craic (good times), and the Gold Coast won’t be any exception,” said Hallmark Group’s marketing manager Tammy Wood.

“We’re very excited to open this venue and to give the Gold Coast a traditional Irish pub experience with a modern twist”.
