New 18 storey Vibe hotel for Flinders Street in Adelaide
TFE Hotels will open a Vibe Hotel in Adelaide’s Flinders Street in 2020.
The new build hotel in the CBD promises guests they will be able to “swim between buildings” in what the architect says will be “the city’s most eye-catching new attraction”. The 18 storey hotel will offer 118 rooms and will stand alongside the One Adelaide apartments.
Overseeing the project is Con Zahos from Guava Lime, who says it will be “the focal point and springboard for visitors experiencing and doing business in Adelaide”.
“We have designed one of Australia’s first pools that stretches between two buildings,” he told the Herald Sun.
“Hotel guests and the general public can walk underneath the pool as it will be suspended 4.6m above a public plaza. The pool runs the length of a breezeway, with a walkway on one side of the pool providing access between two buildings.”
TFE Hotels managing director Allan Vidor said it would be a flagship hotel for the brand. “This will be a very sought-after location, great for both business and leisure,” he said.
The hotel will also feature an open-plan ground floor restaurant and bar and gymnasium.
