White Rhino ready to launch on Surfers Paradise

New two-level cafe, bar and restaurant White Rhino is set to open in Surfers Paradise.

After a $4 million development, the 700-square-metre venue is led by restaurateur Adam Dundas-Taylor and ex-Island rooftop general manager Adam Thring.

Dundas-Taylor was hired by Artesian Hospitality partner Matt Keegan to create the menu which is heavy on burgers, pizzas and a line-up of slow-cooked meats and fish.

“Matt approached me a few months ago and we did a couple of tastings. White Rhino’s menu is modern Australian food done well,” Dundas-Taylor told the Gold Coast Bulletin.

“They’ve spent several million on the place. But I was attracted by the people I’m working with there, I thoroughly enjoy Matt and his crew.”

Keegan said Surfers Paradise had been “crying out for a place like this for so long – something locals and tourists can enjoy, a bar and restaurant of the quality you find in Sydney and Melbourne”.
