Geelong pizza owner looks call it quits after 44 years

El Toro Pizza and Restaurant owner Sam Burgio is calling it quits and putting his Moorabool St business on the market.

He and wife Pina are selling the Italian restaurant after 44 years in the business. Sixty-nine year old Burgio plans to stay on for a handover period to help the new owner if needed.

If the sale goes through it will mark the second time he has sold the business, after repurchasing it a few years ago.

The sale is being handled by Robert Mitchelson of Icon Property. As for plans post sale, Burgio says he will “do up a holiday house” in Torquay
