Nuts About Tella calls in the administrators

Melbourne-based dessert-pizza retailer Nuts About Tella has appointed voluntary administrators after less than three years in business.

Following in the wake of the collapse of chocolate café chain Max Brenner, it marks a turning point in consumer habits that are moving away from decadent treats to healthy options.

Glenn Spooner and Sam Kaso of Cor Cordis have been appointed as administrators of the business, which has two stores at La Trobe University’s Bundoora campus and Brunswick and a mobile food truck in Melbourne.

With a store within, Nuts About Tella focused on high-quality dessert options, while also selling burgers and fries.

At present it is not known if the administrators are pursuing a sale of the business.
