CCTV footage released of ‘brazen robbery' at Hotel Queanbeyan

Footage of a violent armed robbery at Hotel Queanbeyan last month has been released by NSW Police.

CCTV footage shows a black Mitsubishi Triton smashing into the Crawford Street hotel just before 12.30am on November 15, before a gun wielding robber jumps out.

The hooded man is shown firing a shot to open a locked door, before entering the room, threatening a staff member and stealing cash. The robber then retreats back to the car to make an escape.

The car was later found torched nearby, with police looking for two suspects who were last seen driving a silver sedan on Pialligo Street in Majura.

Speaking to The Canberra Times, hotel manager Matthew Griffin said that two staff members had been a "bit rattled" by the brazen attack.
