Rat filmed crawling along restaurant benchtop in popular Sydney food court
Footage has emerged of a large rat crawling along a restaurant kitchen in the food court at Westfield in Pitt St in Sydney.
The rat can be seen running along the kitchen benchtop at the Din Tai Fung dumpling restaurant in a video uploaded to Facebook by Lucy Hui.
“Makes me want to vomit,” she said in a post.
Din Tai Fung issued a statement that said it took the incident very seriously and had called out pest control specialists.
“Din Tai Fung has in place stringent food safety protocols. We take this matter very seriously,” the statement said.
“Once notified of this incident, we immediately activated our pest control specialists as well as professional cleaners to inspect and disinfect our premises as a priority.”
