Budget brand Megaboom to open second hotel in Sydney CBD hotel
Hotel operator Megaboom has lodged plans for its second 3 to 3.5-star hotel in the Sydney CBD after opening its debut hotel at 93 York Street in 2015.
The hotel operator has submitted its $22 million development application for a 17-level hotel with 104 rooms at 19-21 Hunter Street to be built over older-style office buildings that are owned by Megaboom's Hong Kong-based private owners.
The budget 3.5 star or below sector is currently under represented in Sydney, which is dominated by four and five-star hotels.
