Charges laid over Chinese restaurant glassing attack in Cairns
Charges have been laid after man allegedly smashed a wine glass into a patron’s face at a Chinese restaurant in Cairns.
A 43-year-old Manoora man has been charged with unlawful wounding after an incident at the Treasure Court Seafood Restaurant.
A group of people were at the restaurant when one of the men became verbally aggressive towards another man in the group before hitting him in the face with a wine glass causing it to shatter, according to police.
The injured man sustained serious facial lacerations and underwent surgery at the Cairns Hospital.
