Joey Commerford returns to The Press Club as GM
George Calombaris’ restaurant The Press Club has appointed Joey Commerford as the new general manager.
He returns to the Melbourne venue after stints at The Royal Mail Hotel in Dunkfeld, Vue de monde and Iki-Jime Seafood by Vue.
“The Press Club was my first job,” he said. “It kick-started my career and fired the passion for this industry that I still have today. I have enormous respect for George and the fantastic team who, every day, deliver fine dining reimagined; unique, modern and Greek. I feel very lucky.”
Calombaris said they were excited to have Commerford return as general manager after his career began there.
“It’s a beautiful full circle focused on the future,” Calombaris said.
