Marco Pierre White set to bring his brands to Australia

Australians have become familiar with UK chef Marco Pierre White thanks to his spots on MasterChef, and soon they will be able to eat at one his restaurants here in Australia.

Pierre White has partnered with RMAL Hospitality to bring his restaurant brands to the Australian market, marking the expansion of his restaurant empire to the Oceania region for the first time.

The seven restaurant brands up for franchise will fall under a new group called Black and White International.

The brands up include Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill; New York Italian; Bardolino Pizzeria Bellini & Espresso Bar; Wheelers of St James Oyster Bar & Grill Room; Marconi Coffee & Juice Bar; Mr White’s English Chophouse and Koffmann and Mr White’s English French Brasserie.

In terms of location, the chef said he would look at hotels first, as that is the model he prefers in the UK. The cities earmarked so far include Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth.

The former fine dining superstar says he doesn’t want to over complicate the offering, preferring to keep things affordable as well as delicious.
