Geelong hotel goes meat free one day of the month

The Geelong Hotel has launched a vegan night, ditching meat options for one night every month.

The initiative to offer a variety of plant-based alternatives on the first Monday of every month has been driven by the venue’s co-owner and former Cats player Corey Enright.

Speaking to the Geelong Advertiser, Enright said they decided “to get creative”.

“We are trying to come with some innovative and ambitious options for people to try,” he said.

“I think it will definitely be quite unique and quite different. Even if you’re not vegan it would be worth giving it a go.”

The vegan menu items include zucchini and corn fritters, southern fried tofu, pulled jackfruit burgers, buddha bowls and raspberry semifreddo, while vegan wine packages will also be available.
