Geelong restaurant blames suppliers for raw chicken left in the sun

A restaurant in Geelong has had three boxes of raw chicken seized by health inspectors after they found the product had been left in the sun for hours.

The chicken had been left in the sun at the rear entrance of the restaurant for around two hours attracting insects.

Speaking to the Geelong Advertiser, the restaurant manager blamed suppliers for dumping of the meat.

“This is what happened from the meat supplier, they just dumped it like this on the ground,” the owner said. “As you can see, they just put it on the ground and the ants come in. I knew there’s a lot of ants around there.

“I told them to seal it perfectly … and don’t put it on the ground.

“This is stupid, very stupid. Not normal. Crazy. Then the blame comes to our restaurant.”
