Crown to launch new dining precinct at Sydney’s Green Square

A new retail and dining precinct offering a dedicated Asian eat street and Butcher and the Farmer restaurant is coming to Infinity by Crown Group at Green Square.

The food and retail hub will form part of the mixed-use development that is nearing completion in Sydney’s inner-south, with 326 luxury apartments, a 90-room boutique hotel and a 430-seat multi-purpose convention centre.

“This will create a vibrant cultural hub at the heart of Green Square,” said Crown Group COO of Development, Hotel and Retail Pierre Abrahamse.

“Residents will have the world at their doorstep, with the most exciting new foodie destination in Sydney offering a great place to mingle with neighbours and catch up with friends and family from all around.”

The evolved Butcher and the Farmer concept is an expansion from their first restaurant, currently located at Tramsheds in Forest Lodge, which opened in 2016.

“We aim to offer a casual and diverse menu with specialised variety that can cover all times of the day, to please everyone,” said Steve Flood, Butcher and the Farmer Brand Operations Manager – Specialising in Food.

“We'll be your coffee shop in the morning, your lunch stop, a bustling restaurant in the evening, a brunch spot on the weekend and an Aperitivo bar whenever anyone calls for a Spritz.”

The new Asian eat street will run along Ebsworth Street (off Bourke Street) with all-day and evening dining, including outdoor terrace table service. This will be anchored by Makoto Japanese, a sit-down sashimi and bento restaurant by Masuya, and Bashan, serving Chinese soup noodle dishes, with noodles hand-made on-site and cooked to order.

Former barista champion Sam Gabrielian will oversee the coffee offering Social Society by Gabriel Coffee.
