Austinmer site with cracker of a café up for sale

A building in Austinmer on the South Coast that houses the Fireworks Café is on the market for the first time in a century.

Owned by the Brown family for multiple generations, the property at 40 Moore Street is being sold following the death of owner Betty Brown last year.

Sitting on a land size of 235sqm, the property includes the Fireworks Café on the lower level and a residential apartment on the upper level. The 65sqm commercial premises is leased by the cafe owners Nathan Clark and Briony Wedge, who took over operation of the café in early 2017.

The selling agent for the site is Dignam licensee/director Adam McMahon, who said the café was “a favourite among the locals".

"Equipped with a full-size commercial kitchen and a huge pantry, the café offers indoor/outdoor seating,” he said.
