Kitchen by Mike to reopen in place of No.1 Bent Street

Mike McEnearney has announced he will open Kitchen by Mike following the closure of No.1 Bent Street this month.

“Kitchen by Mike is 100 per cent suited to the needs of this part of town,” said McEnearney. “The CBD is crying out for a more casual yet wholesome place to eat, and I’m excited to bring Kitchen by Mike here. I couldn’t be happier.”

The first Kitchen by Mike opened in Rosebery before closing in 2015. A second Kitchen by Mike outlet then opened in the international wing of Sydney Airport.

Set to open on May 1, the new venue will offer breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Guests will be able to select their lunch from a central countertop, with a range of salads, slow-cooked or wood-roasted proteins, tartines, pizza and pastries all available.

Table service will resume for dinner and the menu offers a range of small and large plates designed for sharing such as Thirlmere chicken with freekeh, golden raisin and tahini yoghurt.

Five Senses coffee will be available alongside cold-pressed juices and a range of Australian beer and wine.
