Burnside pub home to South Australia’s best pub burger

The Feathers Hotel’s wagyu beef burger has been named South Australia’s best pub burger.

The $24 burger, which includes smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, tomato sauce, lettuce, mustard mayo and chimichurri, beat 12 finalists in the Australian Hotels Association competition held at the finale of Tasting Australia.

Speaking to The Advertiser, executive chef Luke Brabin said winning the award has topped off an exciting couple of weeks.

“It’s come at a great time for The Feathers, following the recent launch of our new Greenhouse Restaurant and broader hotel refurbishment,” he said.

Feathers’ venue manager Andrew McDowell said the award was testament to Brabin’s “exceptional culinary talents”.

“And his ability to prepare a range of quality food with amazing flavours that really pack a punch,” he said.
