Second Glacé dessert cafe to open n Melbourne's CBD

Pastry chef Christy Tania will open her second dessert café in Melbourne’s CBD later this month.

The Glacé cafe and dessert store will open its doors at Emporium Melbourne offering 10 bespoke ice-cream flavours, eight cakes and frozen push pops. A selection of savoury options will also be on offer.

Tania also plans to collaborate with various designers and retailers within Emporium to create limited-edition desserts inspired by new season collections.

“The idea of Glacé is to provide a place where both locals and visitors to Melbourne can enjoy high quality and creatively made ice-cream and desserts, which have been hand crafted using the highest quality ingredients,” she said.

“In Victoria, we are blessed to have access to such rich natural resources, from fresh milk and cream, through to eggs and seasonal fruits – we use as many local ingredients as possible.”

The celebrated chef also has further plans in the works.

“Since hanging up my apron as executive pastry chef at Om Nom at Adelphi, I’ve been busy hatching up a long-term plan for Glacé,” she said. “I’m excited to roll that out over the coming 12 months with more exciting news for Glacé soon to be announced.”
