Mulberry Group’s latest venue opens in office lobby

The Mulberry Group have opened their latest venture in the in the lobby area of the T&G Building in Melbourne’s CBD.

Described as “part café, part wine store, part event space, part marketplace”, Liminal’s culinary offering will be overseen by chefs Martin Webster (Jackalope, Montalto) and Zac Nicholson (Rockpool), who say there will be a focus on salads and sandwiches.

“They are a little bit of fun, pretty simple and super delicious,” Webster said. “We’ll be changing them regularly depending on what produce comes through from the market.”

The venue also has an in-house rotisserie, while close to 200 local and international wines are offer at the wine store.

"We look to do things that are a bit different," Mulberry Group's Nathan Toleman told Good Food. "We wouldn't usually open a cafe in an office building, but we thought, if we're going to do it, we might as well do it differently.

"Office buildings are normally places people can't wait to escape, but we wanted to give them more reasons to stick around."
