New dining and bar for reimagined Dapto Leagues Club
A new “New York” style dining and bar destination will be part of Dapto Leagues Club’s latest redevelopment plans.
Club CEO David Hiscox described the redevelopment, which will see the entire rear of the club to be demolished and rebuilt, as “the biggest yet”.
“I’ve been here for 14 years, and each and every time we’ve done a renovation we’ve taken it to a new level,” he told the Illawarra Star.
“This is renovation in particular is of a really, really high standard.”
The new bar and dining area will have a New York style warehouse feel with five-metre high windows with views of the escarpment and up to five large trees making the space feel like “a conservatory or atrium”.
The menu is being upgraded along with the new drinks list complete with cocktails, craft beers and international spirits.
“If you want to come down with a group and someone feels like Asian, someone feels like Italian and someone just wants a classic chicken schnitzel, they’ll be able to order it all in the one place,” he said.
“All meals will be delivered right to the table, which was something we have been really mindful of.”
Stage one is set to be completed by the end of July with the entire project finished in late October.
