Oakwood hotel to open in $66m Dandenong tower

Oakwood will open its second Australian hotel in a new 20-storey tower in Melbourne’s outer south east.

The new $67 million mixed-use tower in Dandenong, known as Spectra, is being developed by Barnes Capital in the heart of Dandenong.

“We are confident that Oakwood’s expertise in residential living will not only support the overall precinct revitalisation plans but bring to life Spectra’s vision of a new way of life in a real and very exciting way,” said Barnes Capital managing director Martyn Barnes.

Slated to open in early 2021, the new hotel will feature 98 rooms situated above the residential apartments on the lower floors. Amenities will include meeting facilities, a fitness centre and entertainment area.

"We are privileged to enjoy Barnes Capital’s confidence in our ability to deliver the service excellence they expect for residents of Oakwood Hotel & Apartments Dandenong,” said Dean Schreiber, managing director, Asia Pacific, at Oakwood.
