New upscale hotel from IHG for Sydney CBD
voco Sydney Central is set to open by 2020 marking IHG’s fifth voco in Australia
Part of Linzhu Australia’s 430 Pitt Street mixed-use development, the property features a seventeen-storey tower with a sloping roof featuring unique “green waterfalls”.
voco Sydney Central will offer 301 rooms, an all-day design-led restaurant and bar, and guest gym. The property was originally slated as a Holiday Inn in 2017, however as the precinct continued to develop IHG decided there was more of a need for an upscale hotel.
“We are thrilled to continue this journey with Linzhu Australia to bring the fifth voco to the iconic Sydney CBD landscape,” said Abhijay Sandilya, IHG’s senior director of development – Australasia.
“The signing continues the rapid growth of the voco brand since it launched in June 2018, complementing voco Gold Coast, voco Yarra Valley, voco Kirkton Park and voco Melbourne Central.”
