Pier One Sydney Harbour to begin $10m room refurb

Pier One Sydney Harbour, a Marriott Autograph property, will begin refurbishing all its rooms and suites from this month.

The $10 million works, being overseen by architects Tonkin Zulaikha Greer, are slated to be finished by September, completing a five-year transformation for the hotel.

“The design transformation of our rooms marks the final piece of the puzzle for an exciting journey for the hotel,” said general manager Kim Mahaffy.

“We are now one of Sydney’s pre-eminent lifestyle hotels, with a luxurious, yet accessible offering for guests looking for a distinctively Sydney experience right on Sydney Harbour.

“By working with a design firm that is renowned for their heritage renovations, we hope to bring this to life for our guests, with a focus on sourcing Australian and locally-made materials and furniture.”

Pier One Sydney Harbour has seen a series of major renovations since 2014 including the lobby, bar, restaurant and conferencing facilities.
