Tanunda Hotel kitchen destroyed by fire
The Tanunda Hotel in the Barossa Valley hotel has closed following a fire in the kitchen.
The alarm on Sunday morning was called when smoke was spotted coming from the kitchen and storage area at the back of the building.
The firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to the pub and accommodation but its kitchen was completely destroyed.
Power, gas and water to the hotel had to be turned off. Guests in their rooms on the second floor were moved to another apartment building but there is no word when the kitchen will reopen.
The fire is being treated as non-suspicious.
