Irwin legacy lives as Crocodile Hunter Lodge crowned the 'World's Best Nature Hotel 2024'
Bindi Irwin’s Crocodile Hunter Lodge has been crowned the 'World's Best Nature Hotel 2024' at the Boutique Hotel Club Awards.
The hotel in Beerwah on the Sunshine Coast was among the finest boutique hotels across the world.
The Crocodile Hunter Lodge was named after late Australian icon Steve Irwin, the original 'Crocodile Hunter,' a man whose passion for wildlife made him an international star.
Judges commented that the property "really feels like you're entering into relaxation mode."
Irwin said the award was an honour and recognised the team’s commitment to an exceptional guest experience.
"These awards showcase our dedication to providing extraordinary accommodation at The Crocodile Hunter Lodge, where guests can immerse themselves in the natural world, allowing them to reconnect with nature and one another," she said.
There were 500 vetted nominees from 80 countries globally across 18 categories at the Boutique Hotel Club Awards, which are perceived as the Michelin of boutique hotels.
The awards evaluate over 400 gold standards of hospitality excellence to identify exceptional stays.
This year, the title of World's Best Boutique Hotel was awarded to Akademie Street Boutique Hotel in Franschhoek, South Africa.
