Armed man refuses to lave hotel room
Bilal Bazzi, 43, will appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday after he was arrested at an inner Sydney hotel for allegedly being armed with a gun.
Police were called after the man refused to leave his room.
Bazzi was charged with three counts of possess unauthorised firearm; two counts of possessing ammunition without holding a licence, permit or authority; and indictable drug supply.
Police responded to a call at the hotel on Broadway Street in Chippendale around 1:15 PM on Tuesday regarding a guest who refused to vacate his room despite management's request.
Authorities were informed that the man was allegedly in possession of a firearm.
Specialist officers established a perimeter around the location, and shortly after, they engaged with Bazzi.
Bazzi was denied bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
