Popular Brisbane restaurant offers 50 per cent off offer to hospitality workers
Brisbane's renowned Hellenika restaurant, a favourite among celebrities and locals, is offering a special treat throughout February. Owner Simon Gloftis has announced a 50% discount on all bills as a gesture of appreciation for his loyal customers.
“This Feb I want to show some love to our amazing crazy industry. For the month of February I’ve decide to take 50 per cent off your whole bill @hellenika,” Gloftis wrote.
From simple, classic Greek chicken soup (avgolemono) to exquisite King George whiting and premium banquets, Gloftis and his team are committed to recognising the dedication of those who work in the hospitality industry.
But this isn't a system easily abused. Gloftis explains that industry workers will need to present both a verified payslip and ID to receive the discount, which is valid only for dinner from Monday to Thursday.
“Also you are welcome to bring along one non-industry guest per person and still receive the same amazing discount,” Gloftis said.
“Bookings are pretty much a necessity but not a deal breaker.”
Gloftis encouraged staff to enjoy themselves, signing off with an enthusiastic "we love hospitality!"
Hellenika, located in the Calile Hotel, is a popular dining spot for visiting celebrities in Queensland. George and Amal Clooney, Matt Damon, and Julia Roberts are just a few of the A-listers who have been seen enjoying meals there.
While the St Albans hospitality group clearly caters to high-profile guests, they also demonstrate a commitment to valuing their everyday customers.
