Lion Dairy and Bulla take top honours at Dairy Awards
Some 153 cheeses and 246 dairy products were put under the microscope by some of Australia’s most well-respected industry experts to find the ‘best of the best’ at Dairy Australia’s prestigious 2013 Australian Grand Dairy Awards (AGDA).
Twenty AGDA Champions were awarded across two categories (Cheese and Dairy), with the highest-scoring product in each category also recognised as Grand Champion – a highly sought-after accolade in the Australian dairy industry.
The 2013 AGDA Grand Champion Winners included Tasmanian Heritage St Claire, Lion Dairy & Drinks (2013 Grand Champion Cheese) and Bulla Premium Sour Cream, Bulla Dairy Foods (2013 Grand Champion Dairy Product).
According to Dairy Australia’s managing director Ian Halliday the annual awards not only shines a light on our best dairy products for Australian consumers, but also puts Australia on the global dairy map.
“Each year we see new and exciting products emerging from our producers whose innovation and vision continue to firmly place Australia on the international dairy stage,” said Halliday.
Bulla Premium Sour Cream (Bulla Dairy Foods) was named 2013 Grand Champion Dairy Product.
