Wellness takeover: Swissotel and Westin

Kick Off Break

In the past week, The Westin and Swissotel brands have both launched wellness and vitality programs aimed at conference delegates.

Last Friday, Swissotel rolled out its Vitality Day Delegate package that includes a nutritionally balanced day-long menu that starts with a kick off featuring items like berry shots with yerba mate, a mid-morning break selection featuring blueberry pancakes and vegetable crudités with dip and ‘dirt’, a working lunch with a focus on light salads, wraps and sandwiches and an afternoon break menu with loads of fresh fruit and desserts such as Eton Mess.

Yesterday morning, The Westin Sydney launched its Well-being Movement and Headspace partnership with a yoga session by high-profile yogi Charlotte Dodson. As part of this global launch, The Westin Sydney and Melbourne will now offer a yoga travel toolkit to their guests.

Global brand leader for Westin Hotels Brian Povinelli said, “At Westin, our mission is to be a partner in our guest’s wellbeing before, during and after their stay and this is the motivation behind this movement. We are proud to partner with some of the world’s premier wellness brands and experts to provide innovative, personalised offerings at our hotels around the world, with the goal of inspiring and empowering our guests and associates. Headspace is a brand who shares our passion for improving the health and well-being of communities around the world and we are thrilled that Andy and his team will be a part of this journey.”

Westin is the first hotel brand to launch a brand-wide mindfulness and meditation program. The partnership with Headspace will provide guests with customised content through a dedicated space on Westin.com, including videos and audio files. Westin will also introduce Headspace modules to help promote wellness in the workplace.
