Popular with the corporate crowd, for the past 15 years the restaurant has been offering guests one of the best lookouts over Sydney Harbour to compliment its modern Australian dishes.

Cafe Sydney is holding its annual long, lazy, three-course lunch on Mother’s Day that features a large selection of entrees, mains and desserts.

Situated on the Finger Wharf at Woolloomooloo, this popular Italian restaurant employs the motto “to live well is to eat well”.

Bought by the Fink Family in 2006, the kitchen has been headed by Richard Ptacnik for 10 years.

It features a modern twist on Italian cuisine, with an array of antipasto, pasta and mains on offer. Sit down with the family and enjoy four courses on Mother’s Day, including coffee and petit fours. The menu includes Grainge Angus beef carpaccio, barramundi, four-cheese risotto and hazelnut and white chocolate mousse.

The Tilbury Hotel, 2-18 Nicholson St

Nestled one street back from the Finger Wharf, this local pub has been reinvigorated in the past year under head chef Elton Inglis.

The dining room has an elegant yet relaxed feel, while the menu is modern Australian with a focus on seafood and some unique dishes, thanks in large part to Inglis’ love for combining fruit with meat.

A glass of Moet & Chandon will be handed to your mum as she walks through the door at this Woolloomooloo pub, before settling down for a three-course menu.

The lunch is available from 12-5pm.

This Double Bay restaurant is the second venue from the group responsible for popular Kingsford bar Niji Sushi.

With its authentic Japanese design, this more formal venue offers an extensive selection of charcoal grill, sashimi, sushi, tempura, hot, cold and smoked dishes.

The Bay St restaurant is offering a complimentary dessert platter to all mums who dine with them on Mother’s Day. The platter includes chocolate lava cake, crème brulee, ginger panna cotta and ice-cream.

Celebrity chef Colin Fassnidge has just renovated his hatted Paddington pub.

Known for his nose-to-tail style of cooking of pork and other meats, Fassnidge has prepared a three-course menu with three options per course to treat mums all over Sydney this Mother’s Day.

Rushcutters, 10 Neild Ave

Longrain founder Marty Boetz joined forces with The Keystone Group last year to open Rushcutters in the warehouse that was restaurant Neild Ave.

Sourcing produce from his farm in the Hawkesbury, the restaurant and deli menus feature seasonal fruit and vegetables alongside hearty meats like pork schnitzel, lamb shoulder and Tasmanian Cape Grim rib eye steak.

On Mother’s Day the restaurant is offering a three course menu, along with a glass of Perrier-Jouet Grand Brut.

Chef Massimo Mele has recently come on board as head chef at this Italian favourite, that has just undergone extensive renovations.

Now offering a bar and a communal dining table, Mele has also introduced a new a la carte menu that’s filled with Italian antipasto and mains designed to be shared.

Mums can enjoy one of the mains for free on Mother’s Day, with the venue open for lunch from 12pm and for dinner from 5.30pm. Children 12 can have two courses for $25.

Tucked away towards the Cleveland St end of Crown St, this hidden gem offers a $69 six-course degustation and a new bar menu.

Head chef and co-owner Paul Cooper has designed a modern Australian menu using unusual cuts of meat and different cooking techniques to bring something unique to his customers’ plates.

A sparkling wine along with three courses is available for lunch on Mother’s Day.

This old-school hardware store was converted into a popular bar and restaurant two years ago. Popular with the hipster Bondi crowd, the outdoor area is also great for ladies’ lunches and Mother’s Day.

Treat mum to brunch sliders filled with crispy bacon and avocado, or go for lunch and enjoy some of the venue’s famous pizzas.
