Australasian Gaming Expo (AGE) Wows the Crowds
The 25th annual Australasian Gaming Expo closed its doors yesterday leaving 180 exhausted but happy exhibitors to pack up and move out. Once again, the AGE proved to be an outstanding success when gaming and hospitality executives from around the region packed the show floor to see and compare the world’s best and latest gaming and hospitality equipment.
The new temporary location proved to be up to the task with many visitors impressed by the natural ambient light, the range of on-site food and the ease of access. One surprise for the organizers was that over a third of the visitors arrived at the new venue by ferry.
Crowds were excited to see a life sized replica of the Delorean used in the Back to the Future Movie, along with a chance to meet Dr Emmett Brown, the inventor of the flux capacitor.
On the second night of the show, around 40 Sales and Management staff from several 2014 exhibitors attended a cocktail party to celebrate 25 years of the Australasian Gaming Expo.
Representing 18 companies in total, these exhibitors all shared a common bond; they have exhibited continuously since our inaugural Expo held at Darling Harbour in 1990.
Said Ross Ferrar, CEO of the Gaming Technologies Association of this achievement: “ The fact that these exhibitors have been with us since 1990 is proof of the success of the Australasian Gaming Expo as a valuable tool in connecting them with their customers”.
Event owner and operator, the Gaming Technologies Association, offered a trip for two to Las Vegas for Visitors at each day of the Expo. Tony Mathew from Wests Campbelltown Leagues Club was the first name to be drawn from all the visitors on Tuesday. Riccardo Callegari from Easts Group Bondi Junction and Danielle Burston from Collingwood Football Club are also shouting “Viva Las Vegas” thanks to each winning a trip for two at the Australasian Gaming Expo.
Planning is already well under way for next year’s Australasian Gaming Expo which will be on Tuesday 11 to Thursday 13 August 2015 at Sydney Exhibition Centre @ Glebe Island
