YOU don’t need to drive into the city to get authentic bistro food because Hotel Pennant Hills has the credentials to satisfy your palate.

The well known eatery, at 352 Pennant Hills Rd, recently won the Australian Hotels Association’s best metropolitan bistro award and licensee Roman Nalywajko attributed the success to his menu’s variety.

“I think we have a big variety for everybody’s tastes, a lot of gluten-free options on there,” he said.

“We have a very good kids’ menu and very good signature dishes, a good range of pizzas and steaks.

“We are very excited, we all worked very hard for it, including all the staff.”

Mr Nalywajko has been at the venue for 13 years and said the renovations three years ago have been good for business. His favourite dish is barramundi.

“Since the renovation, the hotel has been very successful with the food and the play area,” he said. “We weren’t expecting it, there are a lot of bonuses along the way like these awards.”

The eatery has 40 staff on the floor and 10 chefs in the kitchen. Signature dishes include the twice cooked pork belly ($26) and Dukkah spiced barramundi fillet ($28).
