Salt Meats Cheese opens in Mosman to cater for customer demand

North shore residents have been flocking to Salt Meats Cheese’s flagship store in Alexandria in droves.

“Thirty per cent of our customers are from the north shore,” Salt Meats Cheese co-director Stefano de Blasi said. “That’s quite a lot.”

He didn’t need to think twice when the 3/803 Military Rd site became available late last year.

“We love this site and we love this area,” de Blasi said.

“It’s exciting for us to come here.”

While the Mosman store is considerably smaller than its Alexandria counterpart, customers are still promised coffee and pastries in the morning, pizza focaccia and panini for lunch and, for those eager to know, wine and cheese in the evening.

Like its name suggests, Salt Meats Cheese is famous for its meats and cheese.

“They’ve all been asking what we’re going to do and if we’re going to have wine,” de Blasi said of the reaction to news the store was on its way to Mosman.

He said there will also be great tapas and funky nights. “We’re going to have spicy Fridays, where we have really hot food, and Cheap Mondays,” he said.
