It's likely a Peppers Resort and 69 serviced apartments will be built on the headland to take advantage of unrestricted views along the coast, north and south.

The old hotel built in the 1920s was gradually run down over many years reaching the point where it was forced to close due to safety concerns.

The site is being developed by the Stevens Development and Construction group, which specialises in designing fast food outlets, shopping centres, retirement villages and luxury medium density residential developments.

The company's website says it has developed, constructed and completed projects for over 50 fast food restaurants in the last 10 years as well as shopping centres at Shellharbour, Berkeley and Bateman's Bay.
