Disco dance for little kids held at Highway Hotel

ADELAIDE’S tiny tots will be hitting the dance floor this weekend at a special children’s disco.

Saturday afternoon fever will take place at the Highway Hotel when children of all ages will boogie to the beat of DJ Isaac.

The free kids’ disco runs from 12 to 2pm and is aimed at bringing together the local community.

Organiser, Plympton-based real estate agent Darren Standish, says it is all about putting a smile on children’s faces.

“I want to do something to give back to the community,” Mr Standish says.

“The best outcome is that everyone comes and has a good time.

“If you make kids happy, then everyone’s happy.”

A number of local businesses and volunteers will support the event to provide prizes, games and giveaways.

The disco does not have a theme but Mr Standish says he chose the Anzac Highway hotel so parents can watch the football and enjoy a beer while their children have fun.

“I try to (organise an event) once every couple of months,” he says.

“Sometimes they look a little disorganised but everyone’s having a good time and that’s all that matters.”

All ages are welcome at the kids disco but spaces are limited.
