William Angliss Great Chefs

Running for over 20 years, the Great Chefs program provides our cookery and hospitality students with the opportunity to work alongside some of Australia's most recognised chefs. It also provides the food lovers of Melbourne the chance to experience exclusive menus from well-known chefs at prices between $50-80 (including matched wines) while supporting the next generation of chefs and hospitality leaders.

Hear from the Great Chef on the night, enjoy the opportunity to taste their specially designed menu and learn about the inspiration behind their creations!

All Great Chef lunches begin at 12 midday, and dinners begin at 7.00pm.

2016 GREAT CHEFS PROGRAM

Great Chefs lunches are $50 for three courses and matching wine unless otherwise indicated, and Great Chefs dinners are $80 for four courses and matching wine unless otherwise indicated.

This year one Great Chefs lunch will be held offsite at Matteos.

William Angliss Great Chefs

A former Angliss student himself, Matteo will host a lunch in his restaurant, welcoming 12 apprentice chefs and 12 front of house William Angliss students to work on site at Matteo’s in North Fitzroy.

Under the guidance of Matteo, Executive Chef Buddha Lo and Guest Chef Raymond Capaldi, the apprentices will produce and serve a seasonally inspired four course lunch matched with wine. As one of Melbourne’s most respected restaurateurs, Matteo believes in training the next generation of hospitality professionals.

The lunch will provide an invaluable opportunity for the next generation of young chefs and waiters to gain hands on experience in one of Melbourne’s finest two hatted restaurants.
