Sealed Air’s Diversey business introduces kitchen care innovations for simpler, safer and smarter cleaning
Sealed Air’s Diversey Business today announced the launch of SmartDoseTM to its kitchen care portfolio which includes Multi-purpose Cleaner Degreaser and Surface Sanitiser. Multi-purpose Cleaner Degreaser is a versatile sink, surface and floor cleaner, while Surface Sanitiser is an effective no-rinse sanitiser. SmartDose is one of Diversey’s key innovations and has been available in the market since September 2011 to meet building care needs.
SmartDose is one of the most accurate dosing systems in the industry that simplifies the process of mixing concentrated products while reducing costs and waste. Through a patented ‘smart’ pump and innovative bottle design, the SmartDose system automatically calculates and delivers precise amounts of super concentrated cleaning products safely, simply and swiftly. This eliminates the risk of dosing errors and ensures accurate dilution for a variety of cleaning containers. Multi-purpose Cleaner Degreaser and Surface Sanitiser are a simple two-product offer for all daily cleaning and hygiene needs in kitchen, food service or retail areas. Multi-purpose Cleaner Degreaser handles everything from heavy duty cleaning to general purpose cleaning, from glass cleaning to hand dishwashing and floor cleaning. It is formulated to remove oil and dirt found in kitchens and leaves no residue even when used on glass. Surface Sanitiser will keep a kitchen’s surfaces safe by providing an effective no rinse sanitising.
Product Safety and Ease-of-Use
Unlike current dosing systems with standard pelican pumps and liquid or pouches, SmartDose ensures user safety through its leak and drip resistant spout that protects workers from exposure to super concentrated chemicals. Minimal training is required in using the system and the simple icons on the control knob provide clear choices for selecting and using the desired dosing option in just three simple steps. With simpler and quicker dosing, the consistency of results ensures optimum completion times with no need to repeat a task, thus raising productivity of the cleaning operations. As SmartDose does not require installation or a water connect and has everything needed for correctly diluted solutions that is self-contained in the bottle, it is virtually service and maintenance free. With an ergonomically designed handle, users can simply carry the container to the point of use and add the correct amount of product to their buckets, spray bottles or other equipment.

Sustainable Product Use
Through the use of super concentrates, SmartDose promotes sustainability through reducing plastic use and packaging, and offers savings in storage space and transportation costs when compared to conventional bulk chemicals or ready-to-use products in 5-litre bottles. With its dosing ratio of up to 750:1, each SmartDose bottle supports significantly more cleaning jobs litre-for-litre. Each 1.4 litre can generate up to 1,000 litres of ready-to-use product. Ready to use out of the box, the SmartDose system is made out of 25 percent post consumer content and is 100 percent recyclable. The bottle and pump design ensures 99.9% concentrate evacuation, thus eliminating the need to rinse the container after use. This helps customers reduce plastic waste by up to 95% compared to ready-to-use products, and operate a more sustainable business. SmartDose is ideal for facilities where space is limited, connection to a water supply is impractical or complete portability is required. The SmartDose system is available with a range of high-performance building care and kitchen care concentrated products to support simpler, safer and superior cleaning, including two Green Seal™ certified products – Glance NA™*, a glass and multipurpose cleaner, and PERdiem™*, a general purpose cleaner with hydrogen peroxide that contains the same AHP (Accelerated Hydrogen Peroxide) technology on which Oxivir™ Tb Hospital Grade Disinfectant is based.
