Circular Quay’s latest heritage-listed luxury hotel to open in March

Luxury hotel chain Capella plans to open its first Australian venue this year in Sydney’s Sandstone Precinct of Circular Quay.

Capella’s offering will join myriad heritage buildings in the Quay that house the city’s finest restaurants and hotels.

The newest venue in the company’s chain will be housed in the former Department of Education Building and will feature 192 rooms within short distance of the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge.

Capella also worked hard with the council and government to build a spa and indoor pool facility, which is a rarity in heritage listed buildings.

The chain is known for offering extravagant experiences and the Sydney venue will no exception.

A further benefit for guests is its dedication to wellness, with hotels from Bangkok to Singapore boasting world-class spa facilities, gyms and holistic health and wellbeing experiences.

Capella in Sydney will also be supported by three new dining and drinking venues: Aperture, Brasserie 1930 and McRae Bar.

Brasserie 1930is part of the Bentley Group’s portfolio of hospitality venues in Sydney and will offer contemporary Australian twists on traditional French fare. Running the kitchen is executive chef Gabriele Taddeucci, formerly of Osteria Balla.

Capella Sydney will open on 15 March, 2023 and is currently taking reservations.
