Wine and food festival promoted at farmers' market

The organisers of the Riverland Wine and Food Festival say a promotion held yesterday at the Adelaide Farmers Market was a great success.

It included cooking demonstrations, food and wine tastings from the region and art activities for children.

The festival's acting event manager, Sue Whitbourne, says there was a good response from those at the farmers' market.

"I think we had a really successful day, we had a lot of people just making general Riverland enquiries but a lot of people asking specific questions about products, wines and the festival as well which was received beautifully in the city," she said.

"We certainly did promote the festival, we had a great response to that but overall just Riverland produce and promoting the Riverland well exceeded our expectations."
