Unlike other digital food safety systems, MonikaPrime doesn’t just record temperatures – it covers the full spectrum of food safety and hygiene tasks. It also gives you full remote management oversight, with intuitive reporting so you can easily monitor performance across your operations.

Below are examples of routine tasks you can assign to specific sites, areas/teams and staff members using MonikaPrime. Staff will be prompted to complete and log their tasks using their Monika Smart PA device.

 


Between Shifts

   
  • Empty & clean rubbish bins
  • Sweep and mop floors and wash floor matting
  • Clean and sanitise equipment e.g. meat slicer
  • Wipe down and sanitise all food preparation areas
  • Clean fryers and grills
  • Wash cloths, aprons and uniforms
  • Refill handwashing supplies.

Daily

 
  • Check all equipment is working properly
  • Check food use-by-dates
  • Clean grease traps
  • Remove and wash exhaust filters
  • Replace foil linings used in cooking equipment
  • Check all crockery for damage that could harbour germs.

Weekly

   
  • Clean coffee machine
  • Scrub and de-lime sinks and taps
  • Empty fridges, clean inside and rotate stock
  • Clean drains and ovens.

Monthly

   
  • Clean and sanitise dry ingredient storage areas
  • Empty and sanitise ice machine
  • Clean freezers and rotate stock
  • Replace any rodent/pest traps
  • Wash walls and ceilings
  • Clean and remove grease from behind ovens, stoves and fryers.

Annually

 
  • Thoroughly clean and de-grease exhaust systems
  • Clean pilot light housings on all gas cooking equipment.







These are examples only – your Monika system can be fully customised to the tasks that must be completed hourly, weekly, monthly, yearly or at any other interval.

Employee productivity is higher because you can schedule tasks at the right times – when service demands are lower. Staff accountability is also stronger, thanks to User and Area tags that identify users and the areas in which they completed their tasks. This adds to the integrity of the data collected, verifying person, time and place.

 

Handing probing tasks

Hand probing is a time-consuming task undertaken at the end of processes such as prime cooking, chilling, defrosting and reheating to verify and record safe food temperatures. MonikaPrime uses a wireless blue tooth probe in conjunction with the Smart PA for this purpose. Data is saved straight to the cloud, again saving time against pen and paper recording.
